In the United States, PCDs are indicated as ‘Bolt Pattern’ in inches, whereas in Europe we use the PCD in millimetres. With this conversion table, you can effortlessly convert American bolt patterns to European millimetres and learn how to measure the PCD of your wheel yourself.

What Is a PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter)?
The PCD of an alloy wheel indicates how many bolt holes the wheel has and the diameter of the imaginary circle that runs through the centre of these holes. A wheel with PCD 5x120 therefore has 5 bolt holes on a circle diameter of 120 millimetres. In America this same pattern is known as 5x4.72 inch. At **Wheels 'N Customs** we check the exact PCD by registration for free with every wheel order!
Measuring a PCD differs depending on the number of bolt holes in the centre of the wheel:

In the United States, the ET value is not always expressed in exact millimetres, but often indicated with letters for the Offset category:
| American Letter Code | Category Meaning | Corresponding European ET Value (MM) |
|---|---|---|
| H | High Offset | ET 35, ET 40, ET 45+ (Front-wheel drive & modern cars) |

Would you like to fit 5x114.3 wheels on a car with a 5x112 PCD, for example? With our certified **wobble bolts** you can safely bridge a PCD difference of up to 2 mm and it is 100% approved for the APK.
Do you want to bridge a larger PCD difference (e.g. 5x100 to 5x112 or 5x120 to 5x112)? With special **PCD adapter spacers** you bolt the adapter to your hub and mount the wheel to the adapter.
Some premium wheel brands (such as Japan Racing, Concaver, Rotiform) can be supplied ‘blank’ (undrilled) from the factory and machined exactly to your specific PCD and ET value.
Want to avoid ordering wheels that won’t fit the axle afterwards? Simply enter your registration number during checkout on our webshop or contact our experts in Nijkerk. We check the PCD, ET value, J-width and hub diameter **free by registration** for a 100% fitment guarantee!
No, 5x120.7 mm (5x4.75 inch) is the classic American PCD for General Motors/Chevrolet. This differs by 0.7 mm from the well-known European 5x120 mm size of BMW. This small difference can be safely bridged with wobble bolts or specific hub-centric rings.
5x112 is the standard PCD for European cars (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz and newer BMWs). 5x114.3 (5x4.5 inch) is the global standard for Japanese and Korean brands (Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Lexus, Honda, Hyundai, Kia). These two sizes can be fitted interchangeably with the help of wobble bolts!
Even if the PCD (bolt holes) matches exactly, the central opening in the wheel (hub bore / Center Bore) must fit the car’s axle. Is the wheel’s hub bore larger? Then you need hub-centric rings to prevent vibrations at speeds of 90 to 130 km/h.
