What is an Xpower Cut-out valve system?

The Xpower Cutout is an electric valve that is placed before the rear silencer. When the valve is opened via the wireless remote control, the exhaust sound becomes many times louder and sportier. With the valve closed, the exhaust sounds just like you are used to from stock.

What is the difference between a Cut-out and a Bypass installation?

With a Cutout installation the valve is placed before the rear silencer and has a direct connection (opening) to the outside under the car. With a Bypass installation the valve is connected to the exhaust tailpipes (end tips), so the sound and exhaust gases exit neatly through the original visible tips.

Does a cut-out system also deliver performance gains?

Yes. Bypassing the restrictive rear silencer (when the valve is open) significantly improves the flow of the exhaust gases. This is not only beneficial for power, but can also positively contribute to fuel consumption.

Making the Exhaust Valve-Controlled
The Xpower Cutout exhaust valve system is an electric valve that we weld neatly just in front of the original rear silencer in your exhaust system. With the supplied wireless remote control you can open the valve. The exhaust gases then no longer have to pass through the sound-deadening chambers, making the sound immediately many times louder and sportier.

Press the valve closed? Then the gases flow fully through the original rear silencer again and the car is whisper-quiet once more. This is more economical than a complete sports exhaust and also offers performance gains: bypassing the rear silencer improves flow, which benefits your power and fuel consumption.

100% Stainless Steel (RVS)

The stainless steel housing prevents oxidation from rain, snow and Dutch road salt. For an extremely long service life.

Valve Housing with Bearings

Cheap valves often seize due to heat distortion or dirt. Xpower uses high-quality bearings to prevent hesitation and sticking.

Extra Powerful Motor

The electric micro motor in this system is designed to withstand extreme heat and exhaust gas pressure. Tested and suitable for cars up to 800 pk!

Wireless Operation

Switch effortlessly between the two sound modes (standard quiet or maximum sporty) with the compact wireless remote control.

Cut-out or Bypass Installation?

There are several ways to integrate an Xpower valve system into your exhaust path. Which method is the best choice depends on the type of vehicle and your personal preferences.

Xpower Cut-out valve system installation

The 'Cutout' Installation

This is the most popular and most economical way to install. The Xpower valve is placed in a T-piece or Y-piece before the rear silencer.

As soon as the valve opens, the sound and part of the exhaust gases blow directly to the outside under the car, before the silencer.
If there is sufficient space, the 'mouth' of the cutout can be extended to the rear of the car. In most cases, however, it fits perfectly snug next to or in front of the silencer.

The 'Bypass' Installation

This is the most complete, luxurious and visually clean method. The valve is welded in such a way that it is in direct connection with the existing exhaust tips.

The exhaust gases and the loud sound, even with the valve open, exit neatly through the visible end tips in the bumper.
This is technically more complex, but delivers the very best (OEM-style) result.
