What are H&R VTF adjustable lowering springs?

H&R VTF (Verstellbare TieferlegungsFedern) are height-adjustable springs. They are mounted on your original shock absorbers, so functions such as electronic damping (e.g. DCC) continue to work as normal, while you can still adjust the ride height steplessly.

How does an H&R ETS Electronic Lowering Module work?

The H&R ETS module is designed for cars with factory air suspension. It is a plug-and-play module that allows you to lower the car electronically (by up to 40mm) without mechanical modifications, often simply via the original buttons in the interior.

VTF Adjustable Lowering Springs

Want the flexibility of a coilover kit, but don’t want to replace your expensive original (electronic) dampers? Choose VTF.

Steplessly adjustable: Adjust your car’s ride height as desired thanks to the threaded spring perch on the damper.
Retention of factory options: Systems such as adaptive damping (e.g. VAG DCC, BMW EDC, Audi Magnetic Ride) remain 100% functional.

ETS Electronic Lowering Modules

Does your premium car (such as Porsche, Range Rover or Mercedes) have air suspension? Then you can lower it with an ETS module.

Plug & Play: A smart electronic module that works seamlessly with the car’s original air suspension system.
Tailored lowering: Safely and electronically lowers the car by up to approx. 40mm for much tighter handling, without error messages.

The above price only concerns the installation indication of a set of springs and includes 3D alignment of your vehicle after installation.

Note: The exact installation hours depend on the vehicle, the chosen system (Springs vs. ETS module) and the condition of the suspension. The hours will be calculated afterwards. Your vehicle must always remain with us for at least 1 working day for installation.

Why choose H&R VTF instead of a complete coilover kit?

If your car is factory-fitted with high-end electronically adjustable shock absorbers (such as DCC or EDC), replacing them or bypassing them is very costly. With VTF springs you simply retain your original electronic shock absorbers, yet still gain the ability to set the height yourself to the nearest millimetre.

Do H&R steel springs rust quickly?

No, absolutely not. All H&R steel springs (Sport, Super Sport and VTF) undergo a special ‘shot-peening’ process at the factory to extend the steel’s service life. They are then finished with an extremely robust, scratch-resistant powder coating to prevent any form of corrosion (caused by water or road salt).
